The Emperor's New Gun
What happens when a bunch of rednecks get a mortar?

The posse makes it up to Helga’s home town but are diverted by the sound of gunfire. There they find Jim Slashdev and one of his hired hands being held up by members of the McGraw Family. After a brief skirmished interrupted by a strange entity following Ray the posse returned to town to a great celebration hosted in their honor.

This was interrupted when news reached them that the there was a motar in those crates the McGraws took from Slashdev, along with some pre-war biological weaponry. This lead to the posse going after the McGraw clan, destroying the mortar and all the remaining viral rounds. Unfortunately for them they managed to drop a few on the town and now the race is on to find the cure.

Red Baron, Rattler, and a Raptor
Fritz dukes it out with a top of the line military aircraft in a biplane,

The Red Rattler’s appearance throws the battle into chaos, and the players manage to get the upper hand over the road gangs and combine. Ray’s character crawled out onto the wing of Friz’s plane and patched up a hole that was punched in it by machine gun fire. Fritz managed to come up behind the Raptor and Ray stuck some C4 to it;s side before the raptor outran them and performed another strafing run.

The Rattler tries to catch the biplane drawn to the high pitched buzz of it’s engines, but misses. And as the fight between Screwnicorn and the Automaton heats up, Screwnicorn drags the Automaton to edge of the roof only to get dragged off Red Rattler. The rattler swallows the Automaton whole and almost immediately regrets it as the Automaton self-destructs. Wounded but not killed the rattler continues it’s assault on the building, enraged by the pain.

Ray’s character parachutes down to the roof of the building, and using a radio allows the party to communicate with Fritz. The posse works together with the pilot to lure the rattler between two damaged buildings before bringing them down on the Red Rattler with a backpack full of combine explosives. Trapped by the rubble the Red Ratter is at the mercy of the party, and Morgan drives a chunk of re-bar through it;s brain.

Fritz lands and as he saved the possie from the raptors at the cost of heavy damage to his plane asks him to finish the mission he was on when he was attacked and look for the daughter he sent to junkyard and has not returned.

Between Olaf and a hard place.
Black Hats, Bronies, and our heroes caught in the crossfire.

We open on Olaf’s bar in the not-quite scenic town of Olaf’s Junction, a survivor settlement built on the ruins of a border town between Desert and Colorado boarder. Even in it’s heyday the town wasn’t much to look at other than a couple of stores on main street, a few commercial buildings, houses, all surrounded by farmland as far as the eye could see. But since the end of the world the farms dried up and turned to dust in the absence of irrigation, and the desert quickly retook the town.

The Junction is the home to around 50 stoic souls, a fraction of it’s prewar population. This is both due to food constrains and the fact that few people want to live under the shadow of the Red Rattler, a monstrous Mojave Rattler who preys on unsuspecting travelers. Most of the locals avoid the creature by traveling light, and building their homes on the second and third floors of what were once main street businesses. Olaf, the local bar owner and loan shark runs the town more or less from his saloon/brothel, making a small profit off travelers and locals.

A scavenger named Jebadiah, was interested in searching the surrounding deserts for the discarded equipment of a failed Confederate covert operation and hired a few mercenaries to watch his back as he combed through the sands. His expedition must have met with some success as he ended up dragging back two unusual packages, one a large metal object the size of a beer keg the other a thermas shaped object wrapped in canvas.

This little expedition did not go unnoticed however, the Steel Knights heard that Jeb might be looking for CSA 1st Armored Infantry equipment and send Dietrich out to investigate. Unfortunately for Dietrich a road gang of cartoon equestrian fanatics ran into him on the road and ended up chasing him all the way to Olaf’s bar.

At Olaf’s Junction a small group of Black Hats had arrived in town, curiously far from Denver, they quickly searched the building searching for an individual they believed on the premises. Having heard the Black Hats storm in, Edward narrowly avoided detection by climbing out a window in his underwear, only to discover it was not him the black hats were looking for. Fortunately for him Daniel helped him down from the window ledge, where they both overheard the combine was here to nab Jeb, whom they identified as Doctor Lockhart. Unfortunately for everyone in the bar, Diedrich was on route with a small army of Road Gangers in tow.

More interested in killing Black Hats than our Steel Knight Errant, the Bronies as they call themselves wrecked most of the black hats vehicles and kicked off a running chase which led to the top of a wrecked building, There the Black Hats called for dust off while trying to fight off both our heroes and Bronies. A quick sensor Jam courtesy of Dietrich caused a raptor to miss its landing, but it did manage to drop off one Automaton into the melee.

Before the Raptors could turn the tide with their twin chainguns a Red biplane swooped down from the sky and wrecked one of the Raptor’s shits before drawing the second one off into a midair dogfight. Now the posse is trapped on top of a crumbling building in an ongoing firefight, an underdog biplane is all that is standing between them and the chainguns of a Combine Raptor, and to make matters worse a now Red Rattler has made an appearance to see what’s all the commotion.
